JON GIBSON

Jon's first recording deal was in 1982 with Constellation, a new pop music subsiderary of the then R&B giant; Solar Records, home to "The Silvers", "The Whispers", "Lakeside", "Shalamar" and "Midnight Star". Jon was a featured vocalist and collaborating songwriter on Bill Wolfer's debut entitled "Wolf" (currently entitled "The Best Of Bill Wolfer")where he co-wrote and sang lead on 3 songs; "Wake up"(a Quite Storm smash),"Why Do You Do Me?" and "So Shy" featuring Michael Jackson on background vocals.

The success of the single "God Loves a Broken Heart" stage the stage for Jon's explosive CCM debut "Change of Heart". The last LP made by Gibson before CDs took over, "Change of Heart" was a perfect match of sound and song for it's era rendering 6 Top Ten Hits as well as the no.# 1 Hit and one of CCM's most classic songs "Friend In You". The LP also featured the first Top 10 rap song in CCM history featuring a then unknown friend, M.C. Hammer.

Voted 1992's "CCM Album Of The Year.” by CCM Magazine and packing 4 #1 Hits, "Forever Friends" is on of the most sophisticated CCM records ever made.
